GlaxoSmithKline Announces New Program to Provide Financial Assistance to Eligible HIV Patients in the U.S. |
GlaxoSmithKline has announced the launch of a new Patient Savings Card designed to help you with your HIV regimen by reducing your out-of-pocket expenses for GSK HIV medications. If you qualify for this new program, you may be able to save up to $100 a month on each of your GSK HIV medicines, for up to two years following first use. You may be eligible for the program if you have out-of-pocket costs for your medicines and your prescriptions are not covered by Medicaid, Medicare, ADAP or any other Federal or State assistance program. You enroll in the program by asking your doctor for a Patient Savings Card from GSK. Then you can take the Patient Savings Card to your local pharmacist along with your prescription for eligible GSK HIV medications, including Lexiva, Epzicom, Combivir, Trizivir, Epivir, Ziagen and/or Retrovir. Please note! When you get your Patient Savings Card, don't lose it! Cards can not be replaced. "GSK is aware of the burden that medication costs can have on patients," said Pete Hare, Vice President, HIV Division at GlaxoSmithKline. "We believe this program will help reduce the out-of-pocket costs for patients and will hopefully make it easier for them to adhere to their drug regimens. As a company that has been working on the forefront of HIV for over 20 years, we are committed to ensuring that patients have access to the medicines they need to fight their disease." For more information, visit mysupportcard.com, or contact the GlaxoSmithKline Customer Response Center Monday through Friday, 8 am to 8 pm ET, at 1-888-825-5249.
